5D4N Kinabalu Park / Kinabalu Summit / via Mesilau Gate
Day 1 | Kota Kinabalu / Kinabalu Park / Mesilau (Dinner) |
- Pick up from Kota Kinabalu city hotel & depart for Kinabalu Park. It takes about 2 hours to drive through remote villages with magnificent scene of valleys and eventually arrive at the Kinabalu Park area. - Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park, register & check in to the assigned accommodation in around the park area. - One can opt to trek around the short trails available in around the park area, or just relax & enjoy the cool weather at the park. There are over 1000 species of flowers and plants found at Kinabalu Park. There are many Pitcher plants and Orchids around the park area. - Having lunch at your own expense. - After lunch, transfer from Kinabalu Park to Mesilau Nature Resort and check in to the assigned accommodation. - Dinner will be served at the restaurant in the resort at your own expense - Staying in the assigned accommodation for 1 night. | |
Day 2 | Mesilau / Laban Rata / (Breakfast / BOX lunch / Dinner) |
- Early rise to prepare for the hiking. Gather at Mesilau Park Office with mountain guide and start trekking to Mount Kinabalu. - Hiking activity will take about 5-8 hours, depending on individual body condition. - Upon arriving the 11,000 ft, at the Laban Rata area, check into the assigned accommodation and staying at there for 1 night. | |
Day 3 | Laban Rata / Kinabalu Park / Kota Kinabalu (Breakfast / Lunch) |
- Early rise at about 0200 hrs in the morning & start trekking up to the summit. Trekking will take about 3-4 hours. - Witness the glorious sunrise over the majestic Mt. Kinabalu if weather permits. - Descend to the accommodation at the Laban Rata area & check out. - Trek down to the Timpohon Gate. To be transferred back to park headquarters to collect Certificate of Achievement. - Lunch will be served at the restaurant in Kinabalu Park. Depart for Kota Kinabalu city area after lunch. - Check in at Travel Lodge Backpackers | |
Day 4 | Kota Kinabalu/Kiulu River White Water Rafting |
- Breakfast at your own expense. Pick up at the hotel to Kiulu River to experience spectacular White Water Rafting Gred 1 – 2. - Lunch will be serve at River Bug Rest Area - Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. - Dinner at your own expense and enjoy night at Kota Kinabalu | |
Day 5 | Kota Kinabalu / Home Sweet Home |
- Breakfast at your own expense l. Free at your own leisure. - To be transferred to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) or Kota Kinabalu Terminal 2 (KKT2) |
